16 March 2011,
Here's the latest from Ausiello about the title of the Chuck Season 4 Finale &Season 5:
Q: Any word on a renewal for Chuck yet? I hope to God that it comes back next season! —Archana

A: Let’s put it this way: Boss men Josh Schwartz and Chris Fedak are in no way, shape or form being subtle in expressing to NBC their expectation that the show will return. How unsubtle? The title of the May 16 season finale is “Chuck vs. The Cliffhanger.”

CHRIS FEDAK: "VIVIAN TEMPTED BY THE DARK SIDE"

7:56 PM / Posted by Sheldon / comments (3)

3 March 2011,
Chuck co-creator Chris Fedak has dropped hints about the future of Lauren Cohan's character on the show. He told TV Squad that Vivian, recently revealed to be the daughter of the villainous Volkoff (Timothy Dalton), will be "tempted by the dark side" in upcoming episodes.

"She walks the line between being a Volkoff and being someone [better]," he suggested.

Fedak also compared the revelations surrounding Vivian's parentage to the previous mystery of Chuck's own father, calling her arc a "bizarro, dark version of Chuck's story".

Lauren Cohan previously hinted that her character could return to the show, following an initial five-episode arc.

FEDAK OPTIMISTIC ABOUT 'CHUCK' SEASON 5!

8:02 PM / Posted by Sheldon / comments (55)

20 January 2011,
Chuck co-creator Chris Fedak has said that he is optimistic about a fifth season of the show. NBC recently commissioned a further eleven instalments of the comedy drama, taking the fourth season to twenty-four episodes.

Fedak told Give Me My Remote: "I don't use the word confident ever in my vocabulary. Television is a weird world. But we're excited to consider the idea of actually doing a fifth season. That's big news. That's exciting to us."

He joked that fans of the series would protest if NBC decided not to renew it.

"I've always had this image of when the Chuck fans riot [and] it's going to be like the end of a Frankenstein movie," he laughed. "But... we're just happy to be on the air, telling our stories."

Fedak also described the show's loyal viewers as "a pretty intense bunch". "That's always been a part of it," he explained. "People who love the show like we do and just want to see what happens next." - DigitalSpy

1:10 PM / Posted by Sheldon / comments (0)

30 September 2010,
Read the latest Chuck spoiler from Ausiello at EW.com. He mentions Olivia Munn and Thailand.

Q: Olivia Munn was awesome on Chuck last week. Any chance she’s going to be a series regular? —Jeni

A: I hear they wanted her to stick around, but she has a full plate, what with The Daily Show and NBC’s Perfect Couples. But maybe this will cheer you up: An upcoming Chuck—or an upChuck, if you will—will be set in Thailand. Not the REAL Thailand, though. A sliver of the Warner Bros. backlot made to look like Thailand.

SPOILERS: 'CHUCK' SEASON 4 CREATOR'S INTERVIEW!

10:02 AM / Posted by Sheldon / comments (1)

20 September 2010,
TVGuide.com had an interview with Chuck creators Josh Schwartz & Chris Fedak. Read the interview highlights below: BEWARE SPOILERS!

TVGuide: If before the show was about Chuck trying to be a man, and then Chuck trying to be a spy, now what is Chuck trying to be?

Chris Fedak: This season is Chuck trying to find his mom. That's the mythology, that's the big search of this season. At the end of last year, his father gave him a quest, a big mission, and that was to find Mama Bartowski [Linda Hamilton] and figure out what had happened to her. It's a big dynamic shift for the show this year.

TVGuide.com: Is Awesome going to be pulled back into the spy world this year?

Schwartz: Awesome has his hands full.
Fedak: With Ellie now pregnant, Awesome pretty much comes to the realization that he's going to be the best father that ever existed, even if she's only three months' pregnant. He's totally focused in the beginning of the season on the future baby. - Full Interview

SPOILERS: "CHUCK & SARAH ARE OBSTACLE-FREE"

5:40 PM / Posted by Sheldon / comments (8)

14 September 2010,
Below are spoilers about Sarah and Chuck's Season 4 relationship from Fancast.com:

Q: Enough about the stunt casting on ‘Chuck,’ as fun as it might be. What’s going on with Chuck and Sarah this season?

A: Acknowledging that Chuck/Sarah are “the heart of the show,” exec producer Chris Fedak tells me that their romance is now “obstacle-free in the sense that were not doing the ‘Will they/Won’t they’ thing. But in every relationship, there are going to be issues.” And the hot topic for Chuck and his chica? She’s still in the spy game, while he is jobless, and that weighs heavily on Chuck as he charts their future. “There’s always an interpersonal story for those two,” says Fedak.

A: I assumed exec producers Chris Fedak and Josh Schwartz would be too. But they’re not. As Schwartz points out, “We never started a season with more than 13 episodes. Like last year, we will hope for the best, plan for the worst, and be ready to have an incredible final episode 13 if need be with a contingency plan to keep the season going.” Adds Fedak: “Episode 13 no matter what will be epic.”

CHRIS FEDAK IS "ALREADY WORKING ON SEASON 4"

9:52 PM / Posted by Sheldon / comments (10)

29 April 2010,
While “Chuck” hasn’t been given the official thumbs-up for season four yet, producer Chris Fedak is operating under the optimistic assumption that there will be more spy-work in the future for Team Bartowski.

Fedak tells Zap2It that he’s currently working on stories for a fourth season should NBC give the series a green light. He adds that he’s optimistic about the series’ chances of survival. “We’re still waiting on NBC to make a decision,” he said. “I’m not a person who walks around with a great deal of confidence – I have a great deal of neuroses and anxieties, sure. But we feel good – we have a great relationship with NBC and Warner Bros.”
NBC may not reveal its plans for “Chuck” until the NBC upfronts in May, but until then fans can revel in the last few episodes of season three–or as the team is calling them “season 3.1″
