Chuck star Yvonne Strahovski has admitted that she would like to explore more of her character's family life. CIA agent Sarah recently became engaged to Chuck on the NBC comedy-drama.
"I would like to see some family stuff," the actress told Examiner. "We don't know what's going to happen with the wedding or who's come to come back."
Sarah's father (played by Gary Cole) was previously revealed to be conman in the second season episode, 'Chuck Versus the DeLorean'.
"I would love to look into the whole Dad thing again and see what happened with the Mum, said Strahovski.
The actress added that the apparently unemotional Sarah "has been wanting [a family] for a long time".
"It seems that she does want a sense of security, and she's found that in Chuck," she suggested. "She treasures it, even though there are still things surrounding that relationship than can... make her uncomfortable." Labels: NBC, Season 4, Season 5, Spoilers, Yvonne Strahovski

I think it's great that Yvonne wants to explore a family, because i cant agree more! I would especially want to see more of maybe siblings and her mother ofc. Im satisfied with just Yvonne in the show! :) and want to see more, cause i know whatever the story will be it will be awesome or OUTSTANDING:P
I CAN"T WAIT but I think it may not come until they get confirmed for season 5!!! If they get a renewal then they'll probably give a cliff hanger and it will probably be a side story or something for season 5!!!
I'm rlly happy that Yvonne wants some family cause usually writers eventually accommodate the actors and take their ideas for the shows!! They no that if the actor wants it then they'll really do great acting when they get it!

Yes and no. I'd love for the show and Ms. Strahovski to have the opportunity to explore Sarah's back story but, at the same time the mystery of Sarah is what keeps us intrigued.
For selfish reasons I’d rather not see it this season and hope for a season 5 to explore it’s potential in depth. Like Chuck’s Mom, Sarah’s Mom will have a lot of explaining to do.

Sarah’s name is Sam Lisa ?
Sarah’s Father is a conman
Sarah’s Mothers family owned a restaurant, possibly Italian
Sarah has a strange relationship with her Mother
Does Sarah have a sister? Maybe, maybe not. Her reference to having a sister was very early on and might have been part of her cover.
I think it would be fun if Sarah’s Mom was the dark side of Sarah and the polar opposite of Sarah today both physically and emotionally, not bad just maybe a bit on the wild side which would fit with Sarah’s early C.I.A / C.A.T Squad days. If her Mothers family owned an Italian restaurant the possibilities of fun and insanity are endless, trust me I know.
BTW, I’m a 50 year old female which is way outside Chuck’s demographic and I don’t watch TV with the exception of CHUCK! This show is the best thing to happen to TV in the past 20 years! GO CHUCK!

i think it would be a good excuse to drag the show into a 5th season. and i think it would be interesting to see how different her mom is from her now and how much the mom would disapprove of her new behaviors in contrast with her as a child or young adult.

I'd love to see her family dynamic. We've seen her dad...a long time ago there was mention of a sister..and recently that she has a strange relathinship with her mom. Sounds like it could prove very entertaining...especially if any of them showed up before or after the wedding. I'm way out of the normal demographics - 57 - but I really look forward to Chuck each week and hope it gets renewed for season 5!

I've been waiting a long time for this. It would mean more screentime for Yvonne, which is always good :D They could build Season 5 around Sarah's family history and friends from the past :)
