23 February 2011,
The DVR playback ratings, which were released earlier, has some good news for Chuck fans. Season 4 Episode 13: "Chuck vs. The Push Mix" which aired on Jan 31st came in at #20 on the DVR Playback ratings list and climbed a full 35% to a 2.3 rating in the 18-49 category, when recorded viewers were counted. This beats the 1.7 rating that watched the episode live.

Good work Chuck fans, watch live and keep those DVR's recording the episode as well!

Since when DVR ratings actually mattered to advertisers? This is really sad-which is 1.7 for 4 weeks. At least its not dropping below 1.7.Fingers crossed for a final 5th season !

Well, Chuck is and has been the most pirated show for the last 2-3 years or so, am i right?
I wish i could help with the ratings but im not from the U.S.

Aces on February 24, 2011 at 2:01 PM

@European,No it's not "the most pirated show". some retard "journalist" (yeah use of quotation marks in this case is required) went a certain tuesday to piratebay, checked out their top 100 tv shows and came up with a list of the most "pirated" tv shows. If he went there Wednesday the list would be different. Or Thursday or Friday. Or today. TV show torrent activity fluctuates wildly with their air date. If you check it out now Chuck is maybe 3rd or 4th. If you check it tomorrow it will be 10th cause Tuesday shows will be "top"..

Anyway the problem is,that NBC doesn't know how to promote shows. They rarely air advertisements for Chuck. If they aired more advertisements, they may get more viewers.. So it is our turn to promote the show.

@ aces
They didint take it from one day, it was a summary of the whole year.

You go European!

Cmon, let's be honest, this DVR Ratings doesn't help at all, NBC doesn't care about it becouse it doesnt represent not money at all.
If only that 0.6% watch the show live, we wouldn't be talking about this at all.

Anonymous on February 24, 2011 at 7:24 PM

@ Anonymous, people between the age of 18-49 are the average people who go for commercial products.

People we are just lucky to have viewers... I mean ya we could always have more... But look at Gossip Girl it barley 1 million and was also created by Josh Schwartz! Oh and for those of you yelling at people who don't watch live well listen up! People have jobs and aren't just going t take the night off to watch 1 hr (really 40 min) of Chuck! In a perfect world YES everyone would watch chuck but since this is a world with a down economy people are more worried about having a job! I TOTALLU LOVE CHUCK AND AM GLAD IT'S ON BUT YU VANT BLAME JUST THE PEOPLE FOR NOT WATCHING LIV!

U have to blame
Jobs
Bosses
Th economy

And let's face it the younger viewers usual have sports during prime time tv... That's kinda the whole reason for DVR
So let's stay positive and be happy we have an 87% chance of coming back

I totally agree with comment above me!

The ratings are not great, but for what it's worth, Chuck is doing better than the rest of NBC's Monday lineup. Some recent dips in the ratings have been troubling, but we're once again crossing our fingers Chuck can come back. Trust me, we will get Chuck season 5 :)

European on February 25, 2011 at 10:10 PM

Well i think Chuck will get a new season but it might get shifted from monday night to some other day :P

Anonymous on February 26, 2011 at 12:06 AM

ya the ratings have been staying somewhat consistent, dropping here and there. NBC needs to advertise more commercials for CHUCK wouldnt hurt.

Anonymous on February 26, 2011 at 8:35 PM

If I do both, does that count as two votes?

Herc as AICN lists all of NBC's primetime shows. Assuming The Event picks up where it left off with it's ratings, Chuck will be #9 out of 18 shows. When you add in the fact that Chuck is cheap to make and it has an advertising agreement with Subway, Chuck is probably pretty close to being safe. The bigger question is whether they'll renew it for just 13 episodes or not, since that would leave them 9 episodes shy of the syndication mark. The investment in 9 episodes would probably pay off in syndication.

Aces on February 27, 2011 at 12:59 PM

Chuck needs 22 more episodes to be a valuable syndicated show. In Chuck's case a fifth season would be good for both fans and the studios, because we get to watch more episodes of our favorite series, and the studios gets a valuable syndicated show. I think, that we have good chance to get Chuck season 5. But I still hope, that Chuck gets this time higher budget, because it's not good thing if they have to cut budget during the season..

No love, kissing, sex, romance. Just a friendly kiss on the cheek before a dangerous mission. Get a new romance writer, one that understands what romance is.!!!!!!! We need them to show their love every episode! The constant danger should bring this out and justify it too! They love each other in real life too! They will be married soon if not already in real life!
