Julia Ling is currently returning to NBC’s Chuck on May 10, 2010. She stars as Anna Wu, who left the show after Season 2. Julia is also featured in this year’s Sundance film “High School”. Movie Mikes had a chance talk to Julia and she tells us that “Chuck’s” Anna is back and has a few surprises to bring with her.

Mike Gencarelli: Tell us about you role on NBC’s “Chuck”, do you enjoy playing Anna Wu?
Julia Ling: I love Anna. She kicks ass. She embodies what women like and is a display of female empowerment. She wears wild makeup, short skirts and lots of jewelry. It is so much fun. Although outside the show, I cannot wear that stuff out around town without consequences. It is great, I love playing her.

Mike Gencarelli: Are you excited about your return to “Chuck”, tell us about that?
Julia Ling: I am so excited. I am very eager to hear what the fans thinks as well when they watch it. Anna has been down in Hawaii, so she has a little sexy tan going when she returns. She has some score to settle with Morgan. His character has been changing a lot in season three. Anna is coming back and going to have a really big surprise.

Great news- Julia Ling has confirmed through her Facebook page that her character, Anna Wu, will be returning to Buy More in the May 10th episode of Chuck, Season 3 Episode 16: "Chuck Vs. The Tooth".

Q: I’m freaking out! Is there a chance Chuck won’t see a fourth season? In the meantime, can you prescribe some spoilers to keep sane? —Marie-Helene
A: It’s true that Monday’s ratings were terrifying, but Daylight Savings Time wrought havoc on all shows, not just Chuck. Having said that, exec producer Josh Schwartz was alarmed enough to alert fans via Twitter that “it’s time to get organized.” For now, I’m leaving the show’s prognosis at “a safe bet” on my Renewal Scorecard. On the spoiler front, Schwartz confirms that Anna Wu’s back! Julia Ling will reprise her role in the May 10 episode. Teases Schwartz: “She’s coming back for Morgan.”


Q: This week’s Chuck was awesome! It’s so depressing that it hasn’t been renewed yet! Do you have any spoilers to cheer me up? —Julia
A: I have it on good authority that the season finale will feature at least one significant death. Feeling better, Julia?

Question: Now that it’s returning in January, Chuck me, spoiler God! —Scott
Ausiello: Chuck co-creator Chris Fedak confirms that Anna Wu will be MIA during season 3’s first 13 episodes, but there’s a chance she could pop up in the last six. “We’re still [writing the last] six episodes, so I don’t have anything first on that,” he says. “But I would love for Anna to come back.” Fedak adds that Julia’s absence at Buy More will be referenced early in the season.
- I'm so glad that they're reconsidering Anna's role in Chuck. Buy More just wouldn't be the same without her!
