SPOILER: CHUCK & SARAH'S RELATIONSHIP!

4:12 PM / Posted by Sheldon /

2 September 2010,
Here's the latest 'Chuck' spoiler from Ausiello:

Q: I’ve had a rough day. Do you think you could give me a Chuck scoop and make it better?

A: Chuck and Sarah will be swapping genders this season, and their relationship could suffer as a result. Allow exec producer Josh Schwartz to explain: “In their relationship, Sarah is kind of the guy and Chuck is a little bit more of the emotional one. Chuck is someone who is very comfortable with commitment. And Sarah’s only real commitment is to people that she feels are probably going to die in the line of duty.” Adds fellow EP Chris Fedak: “Chuck also has a lot of access to his emotions and Sarah is one who likes to keep her emotions under wraps to a degree.”

I am not sure I understand this spoiler...Are they saying Chuck will be more calm, cool and collected and Sarah will be the more emotional and the one pushing for greater commitment of the two? That would be role reversal indeed...fun!

No kidding here we go again - on one side you have Yvonne stating that things are going to get very couply between chuck and sarah and things look good and fans are hoping for the best then we have this spoiler - shocking but see it this way Chuck broke through that shell of Sarah's before and he will do it again - I am hoping that the writer's don't go on a wild goose chase with this story line the whole season and then try to make up for it in the last 6 episodes - remember these are spoilers and they may or may not happen - we will pray for the latter

Remember in Chuck vs. the Ring (part 1) when Chuck asks Sarah, "Would you do me the honor of...taking a vacation with me?" Whhaaatttt?!! So maybe he's able to ask her to vacate with him, or to move in, but scared of that big permanent commitment--to marry. Once past the hurdle of admitting she loves him Sarah's ready to commit!!?? I like that.

i see another "Shaw" 8 episodes of nothing happening which is not good for the show

Callum on September 2, 2010 at 7:16 PM

in one interview yvonne said that they're done with the love triangles so it wont be another'shaw' thing.

also spoilers arnt always true, they could be both opening out to each other or the both might not.

lets hope chuck season 4 is better that seasons 1-3.

Anonymous on September 2, 2010 at 7:22 PM

i meant episodes that made you think what is the point of watching the same story does she love him or does she love the other guy and we never get a final answer.....

Anonymous on September 2, 2010 at 7:47 PM

If a show is going to *jump the shark*, they might as well do it right.
Should this season start going South, the first sentence of this spoiler should be written in literally:
"Chuck and Sarah will be swapping genders this season."

Anonymous on September 2, 2010 at 7:59 PM

it took 50 episodes for them to say i love you to each other then you start with the problems again they will lose more viewers like last year when the whole Shaw thing started so if they want the show to tank then it will tank

i think season 4 will be mint
You cant expect them to be the perfect couple but i hope the problems they have are like 1 episode things
i agree they shouldnt drag on with thr problems

i dont like this! I want see Chuck and Sarah together...married and happy!

Anonymous on September 3, 2010 at 5:24 AM

I want to see Chuck reset to the first time they met due to a brain injury and have him only remember Sarah when he flashs, and they begin to go through the whole relationship again, well atleast for one season.

Okay, so he guy who asked the question said he wanted good news to cheer up his day. I think that hearing those to are going to be playing the tetertoter game again is more like bad news. But that's just my opinion.

hey, "Anonymous on September 3, 2010 5:24 AM".. i had an idea like yours.. you know the thing about Chuck having some kind of amnesia.. but then, as i think of it more and more, well, it would be sooo depressing. it would kill fans like me to see Sarah struggle trying to be a part of Chuck's life when even the man himself can't even remember her!-WHAT?!! You heard about that korean drama show 'Save The Last Dance'?- yeah, that's what's it's gonna be and i'm not sure if audience will take that kind of plot too lightly. BUT, it would be interesting to see them try --as long as they're not gonna pitch it during a Chuck-is-near-to-cancellation-again process. Then again, Chuck is, as far as the show has gone, it has been always in the brink of being canceled.. you decide

my point? -i would really like to see the Churah tandem have fun and be happy in each others arms this season. :))

I read the title of this post and got exited. Then I read on to read "their relationship could suffer as a result." WHY WHY WHY!!!!
Do we have to go through this again, just be together and love each other.
I really hope their just trying to mess with the fans. Fingers crossed!

We waited three seasons to start love and now since the beginning of season four problems in their relations. This is very, very sad and stupid ...

Callum on September 3, 2010 at 4:49 PM

i agree with you, we have waited for 3 seasons. but they probably with be together for the whole of season four. If Yvonne Strahovski(Sarah walker) dies or something like that the entirety of Chuck will be ruined. because she is the best character in the show and Zachary Levi is obviously second, but season four PROBABLY will be as Ryan McPARTLIN would say "AWESOME".

chuck and sarah are awesome there the best couple on tv i have ever seen....i play a lot of ps3 but now i want to see chuck and sarah more on tv.....i dont want to see another shaw, bryce or a cole barker like season 1,2,3 had....i want season 4 to be all about chuck and sarah....

THANK YOU COME AGAIN

Anonymous on September 4, 2010 at 3:01 AM

Happy Chuck&Sarah I know what your all saying and wanting Chuck and Sarah as a couple all sounds nice and I want to see that happen too. But its way to soon and the storys will dry up real fast and the show will become boring, watching Happy Chuck and Sarah will be predicable. Lets Hope Linda will become the disapproving mum about Sarah hehehehe . Story should always have a twist. I want Chuck atleast to go for 7 seasons.

I think what this post is saying is that Sarah will finally open up her feelings more, but Chuck will get closed off emotionally. I think this will cause friction, but ultimately work out. I may be in the minority, but I don't want to see chuck and sarah be perfect for 13 episodes. I think the show will be best if they have fights and friction and make-up like a real couple. If they become flat and they don't continue to develop the characters(character development makes this show in my opinion) then the show will die a very mediocre death.

Anonymous on September 4, 2010 at 4:48 AM

I have to agree with anonymous on sept. 4 at 4:03 Am. I think it's best if they have little fights like here and there, but the fights only last for like one episode. I would however, like to see some thing like happen to Chuck, not too serious, but just something that would piss off Sarah enough to get really mad and go after whoever hurt him. Therefore proving she really loves him with all her heart.

Then its Chuck's turn to prove that he loves Sarah, by like her getting kiddknpped, and he's all "hell-bent" on saving her, and they have a good love scene when he rescues her. I mean something along those lines would, I think, really pep up the veiwers.

Anonymous on September 4, 2010 at 10:06 AM

to anonymous on September 4, 2010 4:48 AM thats exactly what should happen, i just wish you could have told the writers haha!

Achilles on September 4, 2010 at 2:55 PM

I like to see Chuck and Sarah together as much as the next guy, but them being a perfect couple for the whole season won't just be boring and uninteresting but also unrealistic.

I have faith in the writers though.

Anonymous on September 7, 2010 at 1:58 AM

i have to agree, i think it would be okay for sarah and chuck to fight, but for just one ep. Coz we all know that after a fight, they make up and they'll be more passionate to each other. Plus, we all know that in reality, fights do make a relationship stronger. :)

Anonymous on September 16, 2010 at 8:52 PM

there saying that its going to be the same how chuck likes to talk his feelings and sarah will every once in a while share something. its just like in chuck versus the tooth when sarah is reluctant to tell chuck she loves him. but wat ever, at least their together and happy!!!! but there should be something to keep it exciting!
